SELAPFP Pet Food Pantry Program

PURPOSE OF THE PET FOOD PANTRY
  • Is to help low-income pet owners keep their current companion pets fed and healthy.
  • Is a temporary 6 month supplement of pet food.
  • Is NOT for helping people get new pets who can't afford to feed them properly.
  • Is NOT for feeding cat colonies.
  • Is NOT for helping anyone breed new puppies and kittens.

How to get Assistance

We offer a temporary, 6 month supplement of pet food assistance to seniors, veterans, low income and financially struggling pet owners.
For monthly assistance you must come IN PERSON to a monthly scheduled open enrollment where you can fill out the application; get more information on our monthly assistance forms page or
To get emergency assistance within 3-4 days please fill out the emergency assistance form online and submit it to us! You may only receive emergency assistance twice per year.

Please read over the Guidelines for Receiving Pet Food Assistance and come IN PERSON to a monthly scheduled Registration & Enrollment. If you have any questions please email selapetfoodpantry@gmail.com 

All applications will be considered for assistance.  All application can be filled out on open enrollment days.   We distribute pet food once per month on the 2nd Saturday of the month at a posted location. You MUST come to the distribution location to get food. All approved applicants will be mailed, to the address on the application, a PFP ID Card, instructions and their distribution location, food buckets will be issues on your first distribution. PFP ID's and BUCKETS are REQUIRED to receive pet food. If you do not bring your PFP ID Card and Bucket(s) with you, you will not receive any food.  Applicants are only allowed pet food once per month for 6 consecutive months, a supplemental amount of food will be supplied to offset your current pet food supply.  All applicants that are approved will be supplied a supplemental amount of pet food for 6 consecutive months, The Pet Food Pantry is only a temporary supplemental program. If a need is still present after the 6 months you may reapply.
As we mainly work off of donations we may not always have food supplies or the type of food requested. In the case that we are running low on supplies the applicants with the greatest hardships will receive food 1st.
