We have just a few updates. A few weeks ago we were contacted by Cat's Pride Cat Litter and we were blessed with 3 pallets of cat litter. Now I know it's not pet food but we do give out a substantial amount of cat litter each month. We feel absolutely blessed that our followers nominated us in order to receive this donation. The fun part of this was trying to raise enough money to pay for the shipping which was a little over $400 but we did it. Between our raffle basket tickets and donations at the June Olde Towne Crawl we were able to earn about half of the price of the freight and we are super excited about that. Our community cat litter donation should be on its way very soon.
Our next great news is that the St. tammany Parish Sheriff's Department did a dress down day in our honor and gifted us with a very nice Donation. We are so blessed to live in this community and have the ability to serve it. www.selapfp.org - selapetfoodpantry@gmail.com
Donation Drop-Off Locations Slidell
We now have a donation drop off basket inside the front doors of Petco in Slidell. This is very exciting for us. All donations can dropped off within their store hours. This spot is a blessing and will free up a lot of time for us and our generous donors. We are still always available to meet and pick up donations especially if you would like to meet us and hear about our programs and future plans. We also welcome your ideas and suggestions on ways to grow and help our community.
We now have pet food assistance applications in the Slidell pet blessing box located at Fritchie park's dog park for your convenience.
We had a great day yesterday at Petco in Slidell. We talked to a lot of people sharing our program with them.
We had one of our volunteers describe our pet food pantry as Food Stamps for Pets. This does describe the program except it will more efficiently. We are now a Pet Food Bank Partner with Petco. They will be hosting a fundraiser and pet food drive on Aug. 19, 2018 at their Slidell Location. Come out and join us from 10am -12pm.
Southeast Louisiana Pet Food Pantry is officially open for business. We are a DBA of Help Search and Rescue Dog Team and an official 501(c)3 charity. All donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law.

AuthorSELA PFP was started when our team realized the help our community needed with pet food. We sponsored a few Pet Blessing Boxes (small pet food pantries) and we realized that we needed to help our community more than we already were. Archives
